Using magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. • Fan the Flame!

LYT’s theme for 2024—Fan the Flame—sets the focus for the year and is a way to connect with the theatrical pieces we’ll be working on, with each other as Christian artists, as well as with our community at large.

“Fan the Flame” is inspired by 2 Timothy 1: 6-10, in which the apostle Paul writes to his disciple Timothy:

“…Fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”

Each one of us has unique gifts, given by God, that we are called to nurture and grow—to FAN into FLAME—for His glory and His great purposes. Not because of anything we did to deserve it, but because God has placed you at this time in history for a purpose. He has good plans and great hope for you. It’s our calling to Fan the Flame & go after it!

We pray that the stories we bring to the stage in 2024 inspire our students, families, and audiences to better know their Creator and their own unique calling, and to pursue both with a relentless fervor and faith.

    FAN THE FLAME!

    Soli Deo Gloria.

  • Shazam! A Holiday Show!

    A Play! For ALL Ages!
Launching LYT’s first play is exciting enough, but—Dear Parents—we’ve heard you talking recently: “Can we do a show for moms?” and “Wouldn’t it be fun to perform onstage with the kids?” Well, here’s your chance!

Don’t worry, performing with your child isn’t a requirement. But, if you’re up for it, we encourage parents (or even grandparents!) to do the play together with the kids! There are plenty of roles for all ages: older, younger, and everyone in between! (even the littlest angels)

This is a special show with a delightful biblical message, one that will inspire audiences & invigorate families as they rehearse & perform it together.

    About the Show
In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids–probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't believe the mayhem–and the fun–when the Herdmans collide head-on with the story of Christmas!
